The fourth week of trading in July saw a return of buying interest from fundamental buyers, according to market sources, which drove up trading activity and improved liquidity, despite the summer holiday.
Nordic Hydro 2019 closed at 44 Eurocent/MWh, down from 47 Eurocent/MWh in the week before. Prices of Nordic Hydro vintages 2020 and later increased last week to trade above 75 Eurocent/MWh (corresponding to an average increase of 25%). Wind GOs typically trade at a premium over Nordic Hydro, but in recent weeks the premium has closed and the products now trade in the same range.
The Greenfact Index, which follows the movements of the market, closed at 65 points on Friday, up 4.8% from 62 points from the previous week (29).
