Prices for GOs continued to decline early last week, before plunging on Friday due to a supply side sell-off. One of the factors could have been market expectations of more water inflow to hydro reservoirs which also contributed to the fall in Nordic power prices.
Nordic Hydro 2018 closed out at 59.00 Eurocent/MWh, while 2019 and 2020 Nordic Hydro now trade in the range of 105 to 107 Eurocent/MWh. The current price level for Nordic Hydro has not been this low since the first half of 2018. Wind and other GO prices also fell in conjunction with Nordic Hydro prices.
