The recast of the Renewable Energy Directive (REDII, aka Winter Package) has been agreed by the EU legislative institutions, the Commission, Council and Parliament and is soon expected to enter the Official Journal to become EU law. In the Directive, Article 19 legislates on Guarantees of Origin and includes a number of important changes from its predecessor, Article 15 in the current Directive (2009/28/EC).
