Dutch wind GOs are sold at a considerable premium compared to Nordic hydro GOs. Only 13.8% of electricity produced in the Netherlands is renewable, whereas the supplier mix reached 45% last year. The high demand for domestically produced green electricity, has pushed the prices of Dutch Wind GOs to over €5, with volume weighted prices at 5.87 EUR/MWh for the 2018 vintage at the end of August. The ratio of Dutch wind GOs to Dutch electricity prices has been as high as 12% and is currently at 10%, which is considerably higher than the 3% ratio for Nordic hydro GOs.
