A total of 4.58 TWh were issued by the 17th of May in Norway. This is an increase of 2.2 TWh, or 92% since last week. Compared to May 2017, 4.58 TWh corresponds to 50 % of certificates issued. The huge jump in issuance is primarily due to record levels of inflow to hydropower plants. Reservoir levels have increased by 10% and are now above median [1]
2.69 TWh were imported so far, corresponding to 78% of imports in May last year.This primarily stems from electricity imports from Sweden. Imports are expected to increase further during May.
A total of 4.18 TWh have been exported so far in May, corresponding to 49% exported during May 2017.
