Snow melting led to increased inflow to reservoirs and power stations. Production from small hydro plants and riverside plants contributed to lower electricity prices in Norway. Increased wind power production in Germany, Denmark and Sweden led to lower prices in these countries. This was a further contributing factor to lower prices in Norway.
Based on NVE’s calculations, snow around the reservoirs amounts to 54 TWh by the start of week 18, i.e. the same as last week.
