Guarantees of origin prices from renewable production have seen a rapid increase the last two to three months. Since November 2017 the average price for generic Nordic Hydro and EU Wind has increased by 45%, and in an earlier news piece [1], we described a growth of 20% the last two weeks in 2017 and the two first weeks of 2018 for Nordic Hydro with production year 2017 to 2020.
Such a price increase will certainly not continue for long and is most likely a correction corresponding to the increasing demand for green electricity.
