Renewable energy targets for 2030 agreed on by EU ministers

On Monday, EU’s environment and energy ministers agreed on a 2030 target for renewable energy at 27%, up from 20% in 2020.

“The level of ambition is clearly insufficient”, Europe’s climate commissioner Miguel Arias Canete told ministers during negotiations.
