Innergex Renewable Energy to purchase Alterra Power for 1.1 Billion USD

Innergex Renewable Energy , developer and operator of run-of-river hydroelectric facilities, wind energy, and solar farms in North America and France, said it will buy rival Alterra Power Corp in a deal valued at 1.1 billion USD (945 million EUR) including debt as the power producer looks to diversify its energy portfolio.
