South Korea’s energy ministry announced that they would phase out nuclear by 2060 and encourage clean energy production.
As a part of the plan, South Korea will restart the suspended construction of two new nuclear reactors as soon as possible but will cancel plans to build a further six new nuclear reactors and will not allow lifespan extension for old reactors.
