Italy’s target is to have 17% of the country’s energy come from renewable energy sources in 2020. By end of 2015, Italy already surpassed it.

Eurostat, EU’s statistical office published data earlier this week. Italy reached 17.5% renewable energy at the end of 2015. That is a large jump from 2004 when the number was 6.3%.
