ABB commissioned Sapio Research to conduct a survey amongst more than 2200 industrial companies, from 13 different countries. Sapio Research asked company managers, specialists or executives/owners what their current and future plans are for investing in energy efficiency.  

• Businesses recognize the benefits of energy efficiency, mostly for financial reasons rather than ethical ones;
• Businesses project to invest mostly this year and in the two to three years to come;
• Businesses require more help and reliable information from governments.
