On April 6th the German government unveiled a legislative package that was drafted by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. The so-called "Easter Package" contains revised energy and climate laws aimed at greatly increasing the expansion of renewable energy sources in the country and reducing dependence on Russian fossil fuels.
