Spain falls short on 2015 renewable energy target

Recent progress reports published by the European Commission shows Spain, not only failing to reach target renewable energy shares (RES) by 1.1%, but also sees a decline from 2014. Despite the fall in renewable energy shares from 16.2% to 15.6% the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) in Brussels remain confident in Spain reaching their RES 2020 target of 20%. The directive even projects a RES of 20.9% based on currently planned project...
