Portuguese GOs auction prices down to 80 eurocents on average

On 30th March 2022, on the OMIP platform, the 8th auction for Guarantees of Origin was held related to the production of electricity from renewable sources in Portugal from power plants that benefit from a direct price support regime.

The auction model was the descending clock, with 2.62 TWh of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) being auctioned, divided into nine lots, according to the criteria of Technology (Solar, Wind, Hydro, and Thermal) for 2021 production (August, September, November, and unspecified other months) vintages.
