According to a research note published on 27 March 2020 by Ashim Paun, co-head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research at the investment bank HSBC, companies “focused on climate change and ESG issues” showed resilience by outperforming in markets plagued by the COVID-19 pandemic.
HSBC analyzed 613 shares of global public companies valued at U$500million where climate solutions generate at least 10% of revenues, including 140 stocks with the highest ESG scores and values above the global average during the start and peak periods of the pandemic.&nbs...
