Trading during the last week of January was characterised by increased market activity, with a significant increase in trades of 2019 volumes. The increased liquidity was accompanied by increasing prices, mainly driven by demand from fundamental market players that are back trading at this price level.
Nordic Hydro vintages saw increasing prices following the increased liquidity, with 2020 production trading at 28.75 Eurocent/MWh, up from 25.00 Eurocent/MWh in week 4. Nordic Hydro 2021, 2022 and 2023 followed the slight price increase, trading in the price range of 43-59 Eurocent/MWh.
